Description
An experiential journey toward deconstructing our mask, walking toward the excluded and marginalized regions of our being.
A group investigation that seeks to find our place within the ancient Maps of Human Personality, belonging to different Cosmologies, starting from Ancestral Medicines (TCM, Spagyric, and Hippocratic).
And from that encounter or disconnection, using the figure of the Contemporary Jester to give expression and voice to our being, as well as becoming aware of our marginalized aspects.
From the four elements, through the Hippocratic humors (Choleric, Sanguine, Phlegmatic, and Melancholic), to the eight Spagyric Astrological forces that represent human passions (Wrath, Pride, Gluttony, Envy, Lust, Sloth, Greed, and Fear).
An invitation to deconstruct our mask through the investigation of our inner humors, to fill ourselves with our passions and explode theatrically in service of our grotesque self. An awakening to my less plausible side to reclaim the pleasure of being in all my farcical and burlesque splendor.
Permission to give voice to those excluded from society, to our excluded personas, by recovering the expression of our despised, repudiated, and vilified regions.
Embracing our distorted selves through the quest proposed by the contemporary jester, a quest within the excluded human reality of the grotesque society in which we live.
An invitation to engage our base passions, our inner moods, to playfully become aware of the energies that move within us, so that we can embrace ourselves in all our aspects.
